Nodes is a minimal, beautiful, and fast native macOS markdown editor built with SwiftUI and a custom AppKit TextKit 2 engine. Features live markdown styling (bold, italic, headings, lists, blockquotes, tables, code, links, task checkboxes), wiki-style linking with two-way storage, fenced code blocks with syntax highlighting, LaTeX rendering, embedded images, comfortable bottom overscroll, drag-select autoscroll, and Apple Writing Tools integration on macOS 15.1+. Fully local-first with files stored on your Mac.

Live Markdown Styling
See bold, italic, strikethrough, headings, lists, blockquotes, GFM tables, code, links, and task checkboxes render instantly as you type.
Wiki-Style Linking
Create bi-directional links with [[Name]] syntax. Two-form storage/display roundtripping keeps your notes connected and navigable.
Code Blocks & LaTeX
Fenced code blocks with syntax highlighting and overlayable copy buttons. LaTeX formulas render inline and in blocks.
