Advertising, not a directory listing
A sponsored placement is paid inventory and is deliberately separate from the directory. Buying a slot does not add your app to OwnYourMac, approve it, or move it up the list — inclusion stays an editorial decision. You do not need to be listed to sponsor, and being listed gives you no advantage here.
